Anthony Davis had another day to add to making history to the franchise history when he scored 30 points and assited the New Orleans Pelicans in 105-95 win against Miami Heat in the NBA match played at the Smoothie King Centre in New Orleans. The two-time defending champions, Miami Heat, are facing one their worst runs and have lost seven out their 11 games played. The Heats star LeBron James could do nothing but watch after he was playing with back soreness and then had an injury during the game when he twisted his ankle. Anthony Davis scored 30 points of which he had 11 rebounds and three steals — giving him a franchise record three straight 30-point, 10-rebound games. Davis just turned 21 this month and has been a formidable player for the Pelicans this season. “I don’t care what I score as long as we win,” Davis said. “But if it comes to me, I’m not going to turn down any shots. Whoever has the hot hand, the team goes to them to make sure they stay in their groove.” After winning against Memphis on Friday, Miami gave the gaurd Dwayne Wade and Greg Oden the night off which proved to be a costly mistake as the Pelicans took the game home in the fourth quarter. LeBron James twisted his ankle when he stepped on Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans when he tried to take a drive to the hoop, despite the injury James continued the game. A frustrated James was laters spotted saying, “It’s too many excuses. Everything is an excuse. We do something wrong, it’s an excuse. We don’t get a stop, it’s an excuse. We turn the ball over, it’s an excuse. What we’re doing right now ain’t good enough.” A disappointing season and another loss is starting to take its toll on some of the players of Miami Heat as they feel the team is not performing as it should and there is no passion to win left amongst the players. Another frustrated Heat star Chris Bosch said, “We suck, We need to turn it around. There’s no passion. There’s nothing.”
